Whole Wheat Herb Biscuits
These biscuits are delicious and nutritious! Ditch the frozen buttery tub and go fresh! Eat these little guys straight out of the oven and warm your soul! No guilt and low in calories. If you make 15-20 (smaller biscuits) you can cut the serving calorie count in half (woo hoo). They are dense and full of flavor!
Directions: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, herbs and salt.
In a separate bowl, add the milk and melted butter, then add all at once to the dry ingredients. Stir to combine, mixing gently yet quickly for about 20 seconds.
On a greased baking sheet, drop 10-20 (I made 15) rounded spoonfuls of dough. Bake 20 minutes, until biscuit tops are golden brown. For bigger biscuits you’ll need to bake an extra 2-3 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
Storage: Store in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze up to 2 months.
